Civil Rights Movement Against Segregation
During the Civil Rights Movements in the 60's many if not all African Americans were rebelling against segregation. All men, women, and kids no longer want segregation and to be like others. People are tired of being mistreated as if they are animals. African Americans had several ways to rebel against the whites, one of them was boycotting. Blacks were trying to obtain civil rights that are not given to them by the public or the laws. Even the laws had been segregating them even though the laws are blind and cannot tell one person apart from another. All people wanted was to be equal and have civil rights as any other. Civil Rights means the ability of any citizen in America to have equal freedom of rights and to be protected by government laws.
In the picture above African Americans are protesting for equal rights by participating in a march. The first man is protesting for equal rights through civil rights. During this time African Americans are fighting for rights through the government. Just one sign has the ability to say many words fighting for several things such as freedom and the ability to live like any other man.
